What is the Forgotten Pigments Collection?

With backing from Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro, this partnership will focus on the launch of the Forgotten Pigments Collection. This upcoming line will feature specific paints, accessories, and sets designed using colors inspired by iconic D&D artwork, manuals, and creatures.

To assist those new to the craft, the brand is also launching the D&D Paint Academy. This educational platform is intended to help players transition from imagining their characters to physically painting them. Adam Abramowicz, Brand Commander at The Army Painter, stated that the goal is to show how "simple and fun miniature painting is."

Expanding the tabletop experience

The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between roleplaying and visual customization. While many players have a clear mental image of their characters, they may lack the technical skills to color their miniatures. The new resources are designed to make the hobby more accessible to:

  • Roleplayers looking to personalize their characters
  • Game masters wanting to enhance their encounters
  • Live-play fans interested in high-quality aesthetics

When will these products arrive?

While the partnership was unveiled in late 2026, fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the materials. The Forgotten Pigments Collection and the accompanying Paint Academy are scheduled to arrive in 2027. Further details regarding distribution and specific product reveals are expected to be shared with media and partners in the coming months.
