Boo-Ty Barre, a heated 60-minute barre class with a Halloween theme, takes place Saturday, October 31 at 12:15 p.m. ADT at 50 Hedley Street, suite 6, in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Taught by an instructor billed as @isamehlitz and hosted by @pranahot, the session serves as a fundraiser to provide financial support for ovarian cancer research across Canada.

Why you should go

  • It supports a vital cause. This Prana Promise event helps fund cancer research, and the host will match every dollar donated.
  • It is a low-cost way to mark Halloween. Entry is by donation with a $15 minimum, making it an affordable holiday activity.
  • Costumes are encouraged. Participants are invited to wear their favourite Halloween outfits while working out to a themed playlist.
  • It is a genuine workout. The session is a glute-focused barre class held in a heated room, offering a high-intensity way to celebrate the holiday.
  • It fits a Saturday schedule. The midday start time allows participants to finish their exercise before evening celebrations begin.

How much does it cost, and how do you register?

The class is free by donation, but a minimum $15 contribution is required to secure a spot. To sign up, attendees must send an e-transfer to pranahot@gmail.com; once the funds are received, the organizer will create the reservation and add the person to the class roster. Donations are non-refundable, and because the organizer manages the list manually, interested parties should confirm all details with them directly.

What should first-timers know?

The event listing does not specify an experience level, so newcomers might want to ask if the class is suitable for beginners. Because the studio is heated, participants should bring water and choose costumes that allow for easy movement. Spots are limited and are only confirmed once the donation has been processed.
