EB Games Canada has unveiled a new Nintendo space at its flagship location in Toronto, marking the first North American implementation of a Nintendo store-within-a-store experience. Located at 267 Yonge Street, the 1,500-square-foot area is scheduled to open to the public on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

What is inside the new Nintendo space?

The immersive retail environment is designed to bring various Nintendo worlds and characters together in one location. Visitors can expect to find several key features within the dedicated zone:

  • Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software
  • Playable demo systems for testing games
  • Nintendo-themed displays and merchandise
  • Exclusive My Mario merchandise, such as the My Mario™ Mario & Friends Wood Block set

Opening day offers and details

The space officially opens at 10:00 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. To celebrate the launch, EB Games is providing specific in-store promotions for customers at the Yonge and Dundas location.

According to the company, shoppers who spend $200 or more on Nintendo products can receive a $50 Nintendo eShop gift card. Additionally, customers who purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 system will receive two $50 Nintendo eShop gift cards. These offers are valid on October 17 only, while supplies last, and are not available for online purchase.

A new way to engage with fans

Nintendo of America President and COO Devon Pritchard stated that the space "gives people a new way to experience our games, characters and worlds." The concept aims to evolve the retail experience by allowing fans to play and discover brands in a physical setting.

Stéphan Tétrault, Owner and CEO of EB Games Canada, noted that the company is continuing to evolve around what matters most to fans. He explained that the goal is to create retail experiences where people can do more than shop, but can also play and connect with brands. This new installation is expected to evolve alongside future Nintendo releases to ensure the experience remains fresh for returning visitors.
