Quebec-born singer Charlotte Cardin has reached the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 with her latest single, "Memories." The dance-pop track debuted at No. 69 on the chart dated Oct. 24, marking another successful entry for the Paris-based artist in her home country.

What is the new music about?

Cardin released the track alongside a bilingual counterpart titled "Souvenirs." To honor her roots, she released separate music videos for both versions, noting she "needed to say it in both languages."

The song explores how emotional involvement can change one's perception of the past. Cardin explained that the track focuses on thoughts that loop until they eventually shift, as personal emotions "tint the memory."

Upcoming album details

The single serves as a preview for Cardin's third studio album, titled Midnight, mon amour. This project follows her previous album, 99 Nights, and is scheduled for release on Jan. 29, 2027.

While the artist has maintained a consistent presence on the Canadian charts—including hits like "Tant pis pour elle" and "The Way We Touch"—fans are currently waiting on further details regarding live performances. At this stage:

  • The album release is set for late January 2027.
  • No official tour dates have been announced.
  • Concert locations in Quebec or France are yet to be confirmed.

A history of chart success

Cardin's ability to navigate both English and French markets has solidified her status as a mainstay on Canadian music charts. She has demonstrated cross-lingual appeal by appearing on the charts regardless of the language she sings in. This momentum follows her recognition as the Billboard Canada Global Woman of the Year in 2025.

Her recent chart entry follows a pattern of successful bilingual releases. For instance, her September 2025 hit "Tant pis pour elle" showcased her Francophone pop sensibilities, while her English single "The Way We Touch" arrived earlier this year. This versatility allows her to maintain a strong presence in both the Quebec and international music scenes.
