Canada's Drag Race has unveiled its guest judge lineup for Season 7, with Vancouver rapper bbno$, pop artist Slayyyter and Marianas Trench frontman Josh Ramsay among the musicians joining the panel. The season premieres November 19 on Crave, with 12 queens competing for the title of Canada's Next Drag Superstar and a $100,000 prize.
Who else is on the guest judge lineup?
The music names sit alongside a broader mix of entertainment and fashion figures. According to the announced lineup, the guest judges include:
- Sasha Colby, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 15
- Nicky Doll, host of Drag Race France
- Comedian Joel Kim Booster and actor Wally Baram
- Fashion designer Aurora James
They join regular judges Brooke Lynn Hytes and Traci Melchor, with Carson Kressley, Hollywood Jade, Lauren Chan and Sarain Fox appearing in rotating special guest spots.
Why do the musicians have ties to the show?
For bbno$ and Ramsay, the bookings follow earlier connections to the franchise. bbno$ has worked with former contestant Jimbo on music videos and enlisted inaugural winner Priyanka for his Juno Awards performance of "It Boy" in 2025, according to Billboard Canada. Ramsay's band saw its 2012 single "Desperate Measures" used in a lip-sync battle during Season 5 in 2024. Slayyyter arrives after her first appearances on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 this year.
What is new in Season 7?
The cast includes Paolo Perfección, the first returning contestant in the Canadian series after appearing on Season 6, and Madee Lovegood, described as the show's first bearded competitor. Crave has also renewed the series for Season 8, with casting opening November 20, the morning after the premiere.
